Cabaret Decadance is a Vaudeville style revue — with a band and a troupe of singers, dancers, & rowdy roustabouts. We perform tightly integrated narrative song and dance with a vintage feel that is carnivalesque and quaintly bawdy.

We don't swagger to the popular 'break-beat' that now predominates in commercial music. We dance to a different drummer — one that knows how to swing, polka, waltz, cha-cha-cha, & rag. Our lyrical moods range from comic, to poignant, to beautifully weird — you never know what's coming next. Sometimes we don't either!

Cabaret Decadance is burlesque in the original sense — parody & satire. Our perspective is distinctly feminine and a bit queer. Our aesthetic is playfully old-timey. We are not historical preservationists or re-enactors. We are radical anachronists. We mine the past for lost beauty and forgotten meanings. We love singing the life back into genres of "obsolete culture" discarded by the corporate culture industry. Cabaret Decadance is smart, funny, and the old-fashioned kind of sexy that comes from the heart rather than the store.
